The start of this semester was honestly rather boring, and I didn't have very high hopes for this class. Things got a little bit better when we stopped using the text book and began doing more projects. We talked a lot about editing the Belmont School webpage, which we haven't really done yet, but I was looking forward to that. Making my own website was a nice change to learning what input and output devices were, and I enjoyed finding things to add to my webpage that weren't the standard gadgets that Google provides. I also liked that I was able to use programs such as Photoshop at home to add to my website, and I'm very glad that we've started using Google Docs at school. I've used them at home for more than two years, and it makes things so much easier than having to constantly transfer files from a home computer to school.
I'd like to learn something that you haven't actually taught us about at all yet, and my hopes for learning it in here are a bit low. I know a fair bit of HTML editing for websites already, and I would love to learn more, but the basics can take a long time to learn and it's a very hard process. I plan on taking classes in college for HTML and other types of editing, but it would be nice to learn more in this class now. If that's not possible, I like learning about the different ways computers and technology are being used to help people, like the article we read about gaming being used to help elderly people or people with disabilities.
